Feel Good About Your Body With Weight Loss Hypnotherapy

Being Overweight Is A Symptom Of Low Self-Esteem.

The large majority of my Melbourne weight loss hypnosis clients have a terrible relationship with their bodies.

This is because they spend all their time and energy obsessing over what other people might be thinking or saying about the shape of their bodies that they completely overlook the most important opinion of all; their own opinion.

It’s a great idea to eat well and get some exercise, so long as the way your body looks is not the primary focus. The fact of the matter is that if you hate your body that much then being slim isn’t going to make you feel better. Sadly, no matter how much weight you shed, you will still be unhappy with the way you look.

From the moment we are born, we are bombarded with images of the ideal woman. My first introduction to this was at the tender age of three when I was playing dress-up Barbie with my brother. (Yes, my brother…go figure). From that moment onwards it never occurred to me that I would not grow up with legs that reached the sky, full breasts and a tiny bum.

Then there was my older sister….beautiful, popular and impossibly skinny. I didn’t just want to look like her, I wanted to BE her. She was one of those ‘freaks of nature’ that often grace the modelling world. But to me, an awkward and ungainly 14 year old, no matter what weight I was, I would always see myself as ‘big’ compared to her.

Don’t get me wrong, I have never been overweight. But in my mind, I was enormous. This is the irrationality of our subconscious beliefs. Poor body image does not discriminate. It can affect anbody, any size at any age.

This is just one example of the many insidious manifestations of the ‘image ideal’ that invades our minds. Maybe you’ve got a story of your own. Whether you do or you don’t, the fact remains that if you want to be slim and healthy, you must work on your self esteem and your body image at the same time. Your hypnotherapist can help you with this process. If you don’t address your confidence issues, then you will continually chase that extra pound you feel you ‘must’ lose before you can become happy with yourself.

Whether you have Melbourne weight loss hypnosis to lose weight or to feel more confident or both, happiness is not and end product, but a process. Reaching your ideal weight will not make you happy in and of itself. Whatever you think that being slim will bring you that you do not have now is the true essence of what you want. For example: will this magic number on the scales bring you more love, more peace, or a feeling of inner security?

Whatever you think this number will give you, bring more of that into your life right now. as you do this, you will begin to love and respect yourself more. Cultivating self love and inner peace should always be your top priority in life.
